Maureen & Blake {wedding}

I’m going to take a break from the Polar Vortex that doesn’t seem to want to loosen its grip on the Midwest, and share some fresh remembrance of spring. Oh, how I am longing for Dogwood blooms and soft warm breezes more and more each day!

I’m still catching up from weddings and sessions of 2013, so below is a very sweet wedding from last year. Everything about this day was relaxed and a good time, and Maureen was such an amazingly gorgeous and classic bride. Such a beauty! Watching her and Blake pledge their love was an honor to witness.

We’re having more “Polar Vortex” weather this week with temps in the negatives (Fahrenheit!). We’ve nearly burned up our firewood for the season, which usually doesn’t’ happen until February, and many days our furnace just can’t keep up. What does that mean? It means, this mama is D-O-N-E.

Come early, spring.

Looking at these photos of the week I realize how dark it has felt, and how I’ve subconsciously been chasing light in any form. I’m ready to be outside!

(1) Post bath giggles at himself…

(2) Teeth cleaning time!

(3) The water cup goes everywhere with her, even in 10 degree weather.

(4) Been too cold to even play in the snow, so it’s a nerf war, everyday.
